Could I use after-sun cream on a new tattoo?
I was going through all my lotions as I got my second tattoo I got yesterday. I got my first tattoo 8 years ago and things have changed! I came across my after sun lotion, would it be ok to use that? I could use something cooling on it, it's sore.
Is there anything in this that could harm the tattoo? The one I have to hand is Tesco's own brand. It does have aloe vera, bisabolol and shea butter as well as vitamin e.
Any one? I might go and pick up some tattoo goo tomorrow but it would be nice to use something I already have!
some anti-septics will dry out the tattoo. I used just an anti-septic on my first tattoo many years ago as that's what was recommended. My tattoo artist this time round just recommended moisturiser, or things like bepanthen - although my mate had bepanthen really make her tattoo hurt so I've avoided that.
it's not suncream or tanning cream (I'm ginger and would look silly with a tan anyway!) but after sun cream - designed to sooth burnt skin.
nooooo dont put anything else on it apart from antiseptic. Aftersun will kill its still a wound, good luck xx ps it wont do ur tattoo any good either.
